If we continue doing the newsletter somewhat regularly, if we copy it to our website it can probably count as a blog for RoboSub website points.

## Get RAL access for people working on embedded software stuff
Todo:
There isn't much reason for most software people to get RAL access, and we can't get too many people access. So maybe focus on getting access for people who will work alongside electrical. People working on sonar, electrical hull redesign, CAN bus.

Adam mentioned Nvidia Omniverse, and Nvidia Isaac which runs on Omniverse.

It may be a more powerful simulation for testing control theory stuff, hydrodynamics. But hopefully we can use something that's open source or at least not enterprise-focused like Gazebo.

## Dual-boot seems to have gone very well
Most people seem to have it installed fine. I was with the Windows group, I'm not sure how the macOS group went, where we recommended virtual machines.
It definitely worked a lot better than last years' virtual machines. I do think a big part of the virtual machine problems may have been because I was using a custom built image rather than just telling people to use the ISO installer, and potentially that Ubuntu 18.04 is too old. But that doesn't take into account graphics and hardware problems with VMs.
